Adani Ports Crosses 500 Million Tonnes Cargo Landmark

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has achieved a significant milestone, handling 500 million tonnes of cargo. This marks a defining moment in the evolution of India's largest port developer and integrated transport utility. Starting with a single port vision in 1998, APSEZ has expanded its network to span 19 ports and terminals across India and overseas. With a current capacity exceeding 630 million tonnes per annum, the company commands nearly 28% of India's port volumes.

Next Target: 1 Billion Tonnes by 2030 and Global Expansion

APSEZ is now firmly on track to achieve its next ambitious target: handling 1 billion tonnes of cargo by 2030. This target is split between approximately 850 million tonnes of domestic cargo and 150 million tonnes of international cargo. The company operates 150 ports along India's coastline, both on the East and West coasts, covering almost 11,000 kilometers. Its logistics network covers 95% of India's hinterland with 12 multi-modal logistics parks. The four international ports are strategically important for the East-West global corridor, expected to handle 150 million tonnes of cargo by 2030, connecting international waters with global ports.
