Kagoshima Prefecture Warned of Linear Rainbands
Japan's Meteorological Agency has warned that linear rainbands could form in Kagoshima Prefecture (excluding the Amami region) from early morning to evening on May 27. Warm and humid air flowing towards the front is expected to make atmospheric conditions highly unstable starting from the night of May 26. This could rapidly increase the risk of disasters, prompting residents to exercise caution.
JMA Urges Vigilance for Increased Disaster Risk
The Japan Meteorological Agency has urged residents of Kagoshima Prefecture to heighten their vigilance against increased disaster risks due to the potential formation of linear rainbands. Concentrated heavy rainfall over a short period could lead to natural disasters such as floods and landslides, necessitating extreme caution.
