Pag-IBIG Offers Special Benefits for Repatriated OFWs
Pag-IBIG Announces Special Benefits Package for OFWs
The Pag-IBIG Fund has announced a special benefits package for thousands of repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) fleeing the Middle East conflict. Domingo Jacinto Jr., Pag-IBIG Fund public and member relations group VP, stated that the special benefits package allows OFW members to withdraw their Pag-IBIG regular savings as well as MP2 savings that have not matured. He added that even dividends can be withdrawn.
Support Measures Include Housing Loan Moratorium
The government is also offering a 3-month moratorium on payments for repatriated OFWs who have housing loans. This measure aims to help workers who had to return suddenly, ensuring they can settle without immediate financial strain. The support package focuses on alleviating the economic burden on OFWs affected by the Middle East conflict and helping them maintain stable financial well-being.
