Suzhou Taicang Port Boosts Efficiency with 'AI' Adoption
Suzhou Taicang Port, China's largest foreign trade port on the Yangtze River, has recently integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to enhance container handling efficiency. Concurrently, it is installing shore power facilities at berths to reduce vessel carbon emissions. Historically, Suzhou Taicang Port was the departure point for Ming Dynasty navigator Zheng He and now serves as a crucial trunk port for the Shanghai International Shipping Center. Last year, its container throughput exceeded 8.7 million TEUs, maintaining its position as the top foreign trade port on the Yangtze River for 16 consecutive years.
