China's Galaxea AI Humanoid Secures ¥69 Billion in 2 Months, Valuation Exceeds ¥460 Billion
Galaxea AI Secures Significant Investment, Valuation Skyrockets
Galaxea AI (星海図), a Chinese humanoid company, secured 2 billion yuan (approximately ¥46 billion, or about $290 million) in an additional Series B round in April. This funding pushed its valuation beyond 20 billion yuan (approximately ¥460 billion, or about $2.9 billion), making it one of the highest-valued companies in China's embodied AI industry. Following a 1 billion yuan (approximately ¥23 billion, or about $145 million) Series B round in February, the company has accumulated a total of 3 billion yuan (approximately ¥69 billion, or about $440 million) in just two months.
Focus on Foundational Model Development and Global Ecosystem Building
Investors in this round included industrial capital firms such as Walden Technology, Lens Technology, and Silicon Core Equity Investment. The newly raised funds will be fully dedicated to the research and development of Galaxea AI's foundational models and the construction of its global ecosystem. A particular emphasis will be placed on establishing a competitive advantage for its VLA (Vision-Language-Action) models and world models, aligning with the company's 'real-data route.' In January 2026, Galaxea AI open-sourced 'G0 Plus,' the world's first 'out-of-the-box' VLA model, which requires no prior setup and can perform complex tasks directly. In February, it also open-sourced 'G0 VLA,' a model specialized in folding clothes, and 'G0 Tiny,' a small model for lightweight deployment on terminals. The company also announced that it achieved the top global market share in the wheeled bimanual robot sector in 2025 and serves over 150 embodied AI development partners.
