ugo-FastLabel Unveils VLA Model Training Program
ugo and FastLabel announced the joint launch of the 'ugo VLA Model Development Training Program powered by FastLabel' to support companies and research institutions in the initial stages of VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model development. This program utilizes the domestic humanoid robot 'ugo Pro R&D Model' and covers the entire process from task design, imitation learning data collection, data quality management, VLA model fine-tuning, actual robot evaluation, and reporting. The goal is to help companies accumulate internal knowledge related to physical AI.
Overcoming Physical AI Adoption Barriers and Fostering Talent
With declining birthrates, an aging population, and labor shortages, the efficiency and automation of on-site operations have become critical, drawing attention to physical AI technology that can flexibly adapt to diverse field conditions. However, high initial barriers exist, such as procuring robot hardware, collecting imitation learning data, and establishing model development and practical evaluation environments. ugo and FastLabel have jointly developed a training program that integrates robot practical experience, data infrastructure, VLA model development and evaluation, and lectures to address these challenges and help companies take their first step into physical AI. This initiative is expected to enable companies to concretely understand the potential and applicability of physical AI through actual robot development and verification processes, contributing to the advancement of the AI robotics industry in Japan.
