Celltrion announced on the 26th that it will introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its three major business areas: new drug development, manufacturing, and office administration. In the manufacturing sector, the company plans to focus on realizing smart factories by applying Physical AI primarily in its newly established facilities. This initiative aims to maximize production efficiency and enhance quality control capabilities.

Automation Systems to be Introduced in New Songdo Plants

Celltrion intends to elevate factory automation levels by implementing autonomous mobile robots (AMR), automated logistics warehouses, intelligent robotic arms and collaborative robots, and manufacturing management software in its upcoming new raw material drug factories 4 and 5 in Songdo. This move is expected to establish an advanced technology-driven production system and strengthen its competitiveness in the global bio-industry.
