China's Third-Gen Quantum Computer 'Origin Wukong' Integrates AI Ecosystem
'Origin Wukong' Integrates AI and Launches New Models
Origin Quantum, a Chinese quantum technology developer, recently announced that its third-generation autonomous superconducting quantum computer, 'Origin Wukong', has begun to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) computing capabilities. Concurrently, new products like the quantum knowledge large model 'Origin Brain' were unveiled. This marks the first systematic integration of China's independent quantum computing power into the AI application ecosystem, potentially expanding quantum computing beyond research to a wider range of practical applications.
Technical Features and Expansion Plans
'Origin Wukong' officially came online in January 2024, equipped with a 72-qubit autonomous superconducting quantum chip, the 'Wukong Chip', making it one of China's key independently developed quantum computing platforms. With this upgrade, the platform now offers 'Origin Brain' and QPanda3 Runtime MCP services via its quantum computing cloud, significantly lowering the barrier for user access. Notably, Origin Brain specializes in quantum computing and programming, providing expertise and programming support to researchers, educators, and developers.
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Origin Quantum and other Chinese enterprises, has established a quantum intelligence industry alliance. There are plans to introduce the 'Origin Wukong' system to Hong Kong. This initiative aims to accelerate the industrial transformation through the fusion of quantum computing and AI, with Hong Kong expected to serve as a crucial platform for Chinese quantum technology to go global.
