Police identified the Cambodian scam base by analyzing the smartphones of previously arrested accomplices, which revealed the 16-year-old boy's involvement. The boy subsequently returned to Japan voluntarily and was arrested at his home. Authorities are currently investigating the case, considering the potential involvement of 'Tokuryu', an international fraud organization.
