A fire at a car parts factory in South Korea's central city of Daejeon on Friday injured at least 55 people. The National Fire Agency reported that 24 individuals sustained serious injuries in the blaze, which was likely caused by an explosion. Officials could not immediately confirm whether any of the injured were in life-threatening condition.
Search Underway for Missing Individuals
Nam Deuk-woo, fire chief of Daejeon's Daedeok district, stated that authorities are currently searching for at least 14 other people believed to have been inside the factory when the fire erupted. The incident has resulted in significant casualties, and the total number of affected individuals may increase as search efforts continue.
