Liu Guozhi, a former top-ranking scientist in the Chinese military and a one-time nuclear test site commander, has been delisted from the website of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Liu was elected to the CAS in 2009.
Held Key Position in Central Military Commission
In 2016, Liu Guozhi was named head of the Science and Technology Committee of the Central Military Commission – China's top military decision-making and command body. He is believed to have held this significant position until the early 2020s.
