Kim Dong-yeon Emphasizes Role as 'President Lee Jae-myung's Field Worker' in Gyeonggi Governor Bid
Governor Kim Dong-yeon Stresses 'President's Field Worker' Role
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon declared his intention to serve as 'the President's field worker' at the Democratic Party of Korea's preliminary Gyeonggi Governor candidate joint rally on March 15. He emphasized, "I will be a competent field worker who supports President Lee Jae-myung's national governance with performance and results." Kim stated his commitment to being a governor who adds value to the President, the Democratic Party, and Gyeonggi residents. He added that the 'three-skill leadership' of 'practicality, capability, and performance' is essential to accelerate and enhance the public's experience of national policies.
Gyeonggi's Role as 'National Governance Partner No. 1' and Criticism of Yoon Suk-yeol Administration
Governor Kim Dong-yeon stressed that it is time for Gyeonggi Province to accelerate its role as 'National Governance Partner No. 1' based on its achievements and capabilities. He asserted that as a governor well-versed in economics and Gyeonggi Province, he would be a competent field worker for a competent president. Notably, he criticized the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, stating that Gyeonggi Province had confronted reversals for three years with the mindset of a 'government-in-exile,' having resolutely rejected the Ministry of Interior and Safety's order to close the provincial office and promptly responded to what he called a de facto coup d'état. He further claimed that the Lee Jae-myung administration would be the first in history to simultaneously tackle real estate and growth, with Gyeonggi Province providing strong support for both pillars.
