COMPUTEX: The Dawn of the 'Physical AI' Era Led by NVIDIA

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang proclaimed the era of 'Physical AI' at 'GTC Taipei' by unveiling open-source humanoid robot reference designs, the Cosmos 3 world model, and the Isaac Groot robotics development platform. Humanoid robots became a key focus at this year's COMPUTEX (Taipei International Computer Exhibition), with Techman Robot and Solomon showcasing their application achievements to secure positions in the smart manufacturing and robotics market.

Techman Robot emphasized the potential for collaborative robot arms and humanoid robots to be widely used in high-value industrial scenarios such as semiconductors, electronic assembly, and smart logistics. They also introduced the 'Physical AI Development Kit', developed in strategic partnership with NVIDIA and QCT (Quanta Cloud Technology), which serves as a smart hub for collaborative and humanoid robots by rapidly integrating AI vision and VLA multimodal models. Solomon integrated its AI and 3D vision platforms with the NVIDIA NemoClaw architecture to coordinate multiple AI agents in humanoid robots, enhancing their autonomous decision-making and execution capabilities.

President Trump Mandates National Security Review for Advanced AI Models

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order requiring that the most advanced AI models undergo a national security risk review by the federal government before their public release. This move comes less than two weeks after Trump had delayed signing a similar order due to concerns that such measures might weaken America's competitive advantage in AI. This reflects a recognition of the need for national security oversight alongside the rapid advancement of AI technology.
