Typhoon No. 6 Approaches and Moves North Towards Amami Islands
Typhoon No. 6 is advancing northward, bringing strong winds to the Amami Islands in Kagoshima Prefecture. Very strong winds are being experienced in Okinawa and the Amami Islands, and there is a risk of rapidly increasing disaster danger due to the potential formation of linear rainbands in southern Kyushu and the Amami Islands on June 2nd.
Japan Meteorological Agency Warns of Approach to Western and Eastern Japan
The typhoon is also expected to approach Western Japan and Eastern Japan by June 3rd. The Japan Meteorological Agency has called for strict vigilance against strong winds, high waves, landslides, and inundation of low-lying areas. Preparations are necessary to minimize potential damage.
