The Fair Work Commission of Australia is expected to hand down its decision today on the increase to minimum and award wages, effective from July. Business groups have advocated for increases of up to 3.9%, while a peak small business body proposed a temporary wage freeze, with increases only in December.
Call for Increased Scrutiny on One Nation
James Paterson, a shadow minister, stated that One Nation is a political opponent and requires increased scrutiny. He emphasized that their growing prominence in polls necessitates legitimate scrutiny of their performance, policies, candidates, and conduct.
