Smoke Incident During Junior High Science Experiment
On May 29, shortly after 11 a.m., a report was received from a teacher at Himeji Municipal Shirasagi Elementary and Junior High School in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The teacher informed fire authorities that “black smoke” had been generated during a science experiment in a 2nd-year junior high school class, and students who inhaled it were complaining of feeling unwell.
Multiple Students Transported to Hospital
According to police, approximately 20 students reported feeling unwell due to the incident, and multiple individuals among them were transported to the hospital. Further details regarding the composition of the smoke or the specific health conditions of the students have not yet been released.
