US President Donald Trump recently indicated that there is "no rush" for a nuclear deal with Iran, stating he has instructed US negotiators "not to rush" into an agreement. This marks a shift from his earlier remarks suggesting a deal was nearly complete, emphasizing that both sides should take their time to avoid mistakes. Iran also adopted a cautious stance, with its Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei acknowledging conclusions on several discussion points but stressing that a final agreement is not imminent. Baghaei noted that changes in the positions of US officials create problems for any agreement.

Iran Accuses Israel of Regional Destabilization

Amid ongoing discussions with the United States regarding a potential memorandum of understanding, Iran has warned that Israel may attempt to undermine these negotiations. Senior Iranian military adviser Mohsen Rezaei stated, "Our finger is on the trigger for the 4th battle," asserting that managing the Strait of Hormuz is Tehran's legal right and necessary for national security. Separately, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons and identified Israel as the destabilizing force in the region. He claimed that Israel is pursuing a 'greater Israel plan' and conspiring in various ways to sustain war, instability, and division in the region.
