Xynova Unveils Ultra-Light Flex 2 Robotic Hand for Humanoids
Xynova Introduces High-Performance 'Flex 2' Robotic Hand
Chinese robotics company Xynova has officially launched the Flex 2, its second-generation hybrid dexterous robotic hand designed specifically for humanoid robots and embodied AI systems. Announced in mid-May 2026, the product is positioned as one of the most advanced lightweight manipulators on the market. The Flex 2 weighs just 400 grams and can grasp and hold objects weighing up to 12 kg in a single-hand grip, with a rated continuous load of 4 kg.
Exceptional Dexterity and Integrated Functionality
The Flex 2 achieves human-like dexterity through a full 23 degrees of freedom (DOF), combining cable-driven and direct-drive elements for both power and precision. Xynova emphasizes that it redefines human-robot aesthetics and functionality, making it suitable for real-world tasks in unstructured environments. The company designs and produces all core hardware and software components internally. Xiaomi participated in Xynova's early funding rounds, signaling strong confidence in the technology.
