Akazawa, Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, attended a ministerial-level meeting, the 'High-Level Economic Dialogue,' with the EU (European Union) in Belgium on the 7th. During the meeting, both sides discussed measures to secure trade flows, particularly in light of the Strait of Hormuz, which remains effectively blockaded due to heightened tensions in Iran.
