Twilio Study: 60% of Enterprises Actively Using Conversational AI, Improving ROI and Efficiency
Conversational AI Emerges as Mainstream Enterprise Technology
Following the conclusion of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, research by Twilio among mobile technology industry professionals indicates that conversational artificial intelligence (AI) has moved beyond the experimental phase into full deployment. Currently, 60% of enterprises are actively utilizing conversational AI, with over 82% of respondents acknowledging its measurable value, including improved return on investment (ROI) and efficiency.
APAC Customer Satisfaction Gap and AI Adoption Barriers
The Twilio study also highlights that to bridge the customer satisfaction gap faced by Asia-Pacific (APAC) enterprises, AI-driven efficiency improvements are being established as a cornerstone for modernizing local services. A significant 93% of respondents currently using conversational AI expressed confidence in its governance and data protection frameworks, compared to only 28% among those not yet adopting the technology. Enterprises primarily cite security and privacy concerns (20%), complexity and difficulty in acquiring skilled talent (17%), and deployment costs (17%) as the main practical challenges to AI adoption.
