The Disappearance of Two Women
On October 8, 2014, Pasita Tomas disappeared from Paniki Village, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. Her husband, Ricardo Tomas, claimed she had left him. In January 2015, Ricardo began living with Marilyn Eugenio, a prostitute. Ricardo murdered Marilyn for her money and buried her in his backyard. Days later, Marilyn's sister, Amelia Palaruan, searched for Marilyn, asking Ricardo about her whereabouts. He lied, saying Marilyn had left for Manila.
Shocking Truth of Murders and Suspect's Arrest
Following a tip that Ricardo had murdered Marilyn, the Bagabag Police arrested Ricardo on May 19, 2015. Police exhumed Marilyn's remains from his backyard, and Ricardo confessed to her murder. He also admitted to murdering his first wife, Pasita, out of jealousy, burying her in the same spot where Marilyn was found. Both women's remains were exhumed. Autopsy reports from the PNP Crime Laboratory Office confirmed Pasita died from strangulation and Marilyn from stab wounds.
