School Bus Crash Occurs in Carroll County
A serious traffic accident occurred around noon today on Highway 70 in Carroll County, Tennessee. The crash involved a Montgomery County school bus, a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) dump truck, and a Chevrolet Trailblazer. Details of the crash are currently under investigation, with Major Travis Plotzer, spokesperson for the Tennessee Highway Patrol, describing it as a parent's worst nightmare.
Casualties and Emergency Response
The school bus was carrying 25 students and 5 adults. Two students were pronounced deceased at the scene. Two adults were in the TDOT truck, and one adult was in the Chevrolet Trailblazer. Preliminary information suggests that TDOT did not have any contributing factors to the crash. Multiple ambulances and Air Evac Lifeteam helicopters responded to the scene, transporting the injured. A total of 28 individuals sustained injuries in the incident.
