Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, stated at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sha Ling Data Park that the facility, located in northern New Territories near the Lo Wu Control Point, will become a core engine for Hong Kong's future AI industry. The data park is expected to commence operations in 2029.
