At approximately 7:15 PM on the 26th, numerous 110 calls were made reporting a knife attack at a store inside Sunshine City in Higashiikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo. Emergency services, including ambulances and police cars, were dispatched to the scene, indicating the urgency of the situation.
Female Clerk and Assailant Confirmed Dead
According to investigative sources, a man wielding knives in both hands stabbed a female clerk in her 20s at the Pokemon Center on the second floor of Sunshine City. The man subsequently self-inflicted injuries to his neck. Both individuals were transported to the hospital in an unconscious state, where their deaths were later confirmed. As of now, it is unknown whether the two individuals knew each other. Police are currently investigating the precise details and circumstances of the incident.
