Criticism of DHS Mismanagement and Immigration Policies

He criticized the current administration for rejecting deals with Democrats and the House Freedom Caucus for opposing bipartisan efforts. Magaziner stressed that until ICE reforms are enacted, continually allocating billions of dollars to an unaccountable agency is not an option, and demanded the necessary legislative changes the American people want and deserve.
Republican Critiques on Border Security Failures
Representative Pfluger criticized Democrats for holding no single hearing on border security during 2021 and 2022, despite 10 million people being allowed into the country under President Joe Biden. He questioned the lack of outcry for victims like Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, who were brutally murdered. Pfluger called the emotional response from Democrats over these issues 'the height of hypocrisy.' He highlighted that the Republican side has a bipartisan bill to fund all of DHS, which has been voted on twice and then rejected by Senate Democrats. He asserted that blue cities and states are failing due to a lack of belief in the rule of law and order, unlike his party, which has funded DHS despite the Biden administration's 'wide-open border' agenda.
