Israeli and Palestinian mothers conducted a 'Barefoot Walk' in Rome, Italy, as part of their 'Mothers' Call for Peace' initiative. They walked hand-in-hand, passionately advocating for an end to the Middle East conflict and for peace. One participant emphasized that "the voice of the mothers is not just the voice of a Palestinian or an Israeli mother, but it's the voice of every mother throughout the world."
'Mothers' Call' Document and Continued Cooperation
The march was born from deep cooperation between the Palestinian women's group 'Women of the Sun' and the Israeli women's group 'Women Wage Peace'. Dr. Yael Admi stated, "We wrote together our 'Mothers' Call.' It's the core of our values, commitment, dreams, fears, and demanded a future for our children." She further added, "According to this document, the Mothers' Call, we continue to work together even in these devastating days of unfinished wars."
