The Navotas City police arrested a 45-year-old man on Monday, March 21, in Barangay Mapulang Lupa, Pandi, Bulacan, for frustrated murder. PCOL. Renante Pinuela, Navotas City Chief of Police, stated that the suspect had been in hiding for 16 years since the incident in 2010. The suspect was wanted in connection with a shooting at a KTV bar in Barangay San Jose, Navotas City, back in 2010. Police successfully apprehended the suspect when he returned home.
Suspect Denies Involvement and Search for Accomplice Continues
The suspect denies his involvement, claiming he was merely a driver and that a passenger fired the gun, implicating him in the crime. PCOL. Pinuela explained that the victim was shot in the cheek. The arrested suspect is currently detained at the custodial facility unit of the Navotas City Police Station. Authorities are actively pursuing another accomplice in the crime and are continuing their investigation.
