US Military Strikes Iranian Underground Missile Facilities
The US Central Command announced on the 21st (local time) that it has struck underground missile facilities and other targets along the Iranian coastline near the Strait of Hormuz, weakening Iran's military capabilities. Commander Brad Cooper briefed on the 22-day military operation against Iran via a video posted on CENTCOM's X (formerly Twitter) account. Commander Cooper stated that earlier this week, several 5,000-pound (approx. 2.3t) bombs were dropped on underground facilities along this coastline.
Over 8,000 Military Targets Struck, Iranian Vessels Destroyed
Commander Cooper added that the operation has struck over 8,000 military targets, including 130 Iranian vessels. He emphasized that this scale of naval power destruction over three weeks is the largest since World War II.
