Hong Kong authorities are set to announce arrangements this month for residents displaced by the Tai Po blaze to retrieve personal belongings from their fire-damaged flats. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu stated that residents would be able to collect their items by the end of April.
Government Pledges Cooperation with Investigation
Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu also confirmed that the government would fully cooperate with the independent committee investigating the inferno. His remarks came when asked if any officials would testify before the body as it begins its hearings on Thursday.
