Epstein Files Reveal 2002 Meeting with Former UK PM Tony Blair
Epstein-Blair Meeting Details Emerge
The ongoing examination of the Epstein files continues to bring new incidents to light. One of the latest revelations concerns a meeting between the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair, who served as Britain's Prime Minister between 1997 and 2007, met Epstein during his second term in May 2002 at 10 Downing Street. The meeting was reportedly set up by Peter Mandelson and lasted for about half an hour.
Discussion on Religion and World Conflicts
According to a memo written by Epstein in 2018, he and Tony Blair discussed the nature of religion and its role in world conflicts. Blair also allegedly told Epstein that he used to consult a 'wise religious man' for personal advice. This 'wise religious man' was reportedly an Australian Anglican priest named Peter Thompson. This meeting took place six years before Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 for soliciting prostitution from a minor.
Blair's Stance and Epstein's Legal History
Tony Blair has maintained that he only met Epstein once in 2002 and never engaged with him after that. Epstein was indicted in 2019 for the sex trafficking of minors and died in prison later that year. The recent disclosure of the memo adds new context to the long-standing discussions surrounding Epstein's connections with prominent political figures.
