New York Giants Co-Owner Steve Tisch Moving to Transfer Stake to Children
New York Giants Stake Transfer to Children Planned
New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is reportedly moving to transfer approximately 23.1% of his stake in the team to his adult children, according to an internal NFL memo. Tisch and his siblings plan to transfer their remaining interests into separate trusts for their children. The transaction requires approval from the NFL Finance Committee. A source told CNN that the deal is part of estate planning, has been in the works for three to four years, and is unrelated to other matters.
Allegations of Jeffrey Epstein Involvement and Tisch's Stance
Steve Tisch, 77, is one of several prominent individuals recently named in documents unsealed by the U.S. Justice Department. These documents relate to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and include emails in which Tisch allegedly requested connections with women from Epstein. However, Tisch has not been charged or accused of any crime in connection with Epstein. In a statement to CNN in January, Tisch said he had a 'brief relationship' with Epstein, 'exchanging emails about adult women and discussing movies, philanthropy, and investments,' but had declined Epstein's invitations to visit his island. He added that Epstein was a 'horrible person' and that he 'deeply regretted' his association with him.
