In the early hours of June 29, 2024, 50-year-old Chia Hioh Sia was convicted in a multi-story carpark in Sengkang, Singapore, for driving his car with Goh Yong Seng, the husband of his affair partner, clinging to the bonnet. During the trial, Chia Hioh Sia claimed he acted out of fear upon Goh's appearance. However, District Judge Ong Luan Tze rejected his claim. The judge ruled that Chia's actions constituted an "unreasonable response" given the circumstances and found him guilty.
