Chinese AI Surveillance System Claims to Track US Stealth Bombers
Chinese Defense Firm Claims to Track US Stealth Bombers
Jingan Technology, a defense firm based in Hangzhou, has claimed that its AI-powered surveillance system was able to intercept radio signals from four American B-2 Spirit stealth bombers with the call signs 'Petro 41 to 44' during the opening stages of the Iran conflict. The system reportedly reconstructed their flight path over Iran. Jingan Technology provides intelligence-gathering services to China's People's Liberation Army.
Early Detection of US Military Actions and Stealth Debate
Jingan Technology further claimed that it detected signs of a US-Israel military action in the region long before the conflict began on February 28. This included open-source intelligence on February 6, when US-Iran talks on the Iranian missile program began, showing a steady increase in US military deployments near Iran. The specific tracking of the B-2 bombers occurred on March 1, a day after the US and Israel hit the first targets in Iran. The Jingan system reportedly relies on satellite imagery, aviation trajectory data, and public military records to interpret reconnaissance flight patterns and can even detect the types of aircraft stationed at military bases. However, no recordings or transcripts have been provided to independently back the claim.
