Police Brutality Video Emerges from Dutch Asylum Centre
A video released on May 29, 2026, from an asylum centre in Zeist, Netherlands, has sparked outrage. The footage shows Dutch police officers apprehending a Palestinian detainee and his heavily pregnant wife. During the incident, an officer is seen throwing the pregnant woman to the floor as she attempted to accompany her husband. Further video clips show police dragging the woman across the floor while handcuffing her husband.
Pregnant Woman's Early Labour and Husband's Detention
The woman stated that she went into early labour five days after the incident and delivered a premature baby girl. She also reported that police detained her husband after he smashed a TV upon learning that a relative had been killed in Gaza. She claims she asked officers if she could accompany him, but was grabbed and assaulted. Dutch police have stated they are investigating the incident.
