A significant fire erupted this morning in an air-conditioned coach of the Rajdhani Express train, which was en route to Delhi from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred around 5:15 AM near the Vikramgarh Alot railway station in Kota. The affected B-1 coach was carrying 68 passengers at the time of the fire. Authorities have confirmed that there were no injuries reported from the incident.
Prompt Response and Resumption of Service
Following the outbreak of the fire, the affected coach was immediately detached from the rest of the train. To ensure safety, the overhead electric supply (OHE) was promptly switched off. These swift actions helped prevent further damage and ensured passenger safety. After the necessary investigations and clearance, the train service resumed.
