China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that U.S. President Donald Trump will make a state visit to China from this Wednesday to Friday, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. This marks President Trump's second visit to China since 2017. The White House stated that the primary objective of this visit is to rebalance the relationship with China, focusing on restoring America's economic independence through mutual respect and fairness. The Ministry of Commerce added that both sides will conduct economic and trade negotiations on issues of mutual concern, guided by important consensuses reached by the two heads of state.
Tianzhou-10 Successfully Launched and Hong Kong Hospital Improvements
The Tianzhou-10 cargo spacecraft was successfully launched from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site and is scheduled to dock with the space station. Approximately 10 minutes after launch, Tianzhou-10 and its rocket successfully separated and entered the predetermined orbit. The spacecraft's solar panels were subsequently deployed. This mission is the fifth resupply mission after China's human spaceflight program entered the space station construction phase, and the 461st flight of the Long March series launch vehicles.
Dr. Fan Hong-ling, Chairman of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, reported positive outcomes since the public hospital emergency room fee reform was implemented in January. Overall emergency room attendance has decreased by approximately 10% to 11%, with a significant 22% drop in non-urgent cases. This has led to a 17% reduction in the average waiting time for urgent patients, from 24 minutes to 20 minutes. Furthermore, as of the end of April this year, over 224,000 patients have been approved for fee waivers, which is about 16 times the annual figure of 14,000 before the reform. The Hospital Authority has also established an annual medical expense cap of HKD 10,000 for all patients, allowing those who reach this cap to apply for further fee and charge waivers.
