Tony Cheung, a Hong Kong native whose ancestral home is Ningbo Fenghua, visited the town with his son, Justin Cheung. They shared a meal with their relatives, fostering deep family bonds. Tony mentioned that he has visited his hometown countless times since 1984, recalling fond memories of past visits with his father.

Traditional Cuisine and Cultural Experience

The family enjoyed traditional hometown dishes, particularly expressing their affection for bamboo shoots and braised pork trotters. Tony remarked that the bamboo shoots, freshly picked that morning, were incredibly tender and fresh, conveying his deep satisfaction with the local cuisine. He added that the flavors of the food he ate as a child seem to be embedded in his genes. They also conversed in Ningbo dialect with their relatives, exchanging greetings and sharing their hometown affection. Tony shared that his father also enjoyed similar dishes and was very happy when he visited Fenghua in the past.
