Tamil Nadu on High Alert Ahead of Vijay's Swearing-in Ceremony as CM
Chennai Under Tight Security for CM Swearing-in
Tamil Nadu is under heightened security as Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay's swearing-in ceremony as Chief Minister is scheduled to take place at Nehru Stadium today. Authorities in Chennai have deployed extensive security arrangements and erected barricades across the city. Police have thoroughly cleaned and secured roads leading to Nehru Stadium, with strict traffic restrictions in place, expecting a massive turnout of Vijay's supporters.
To manage the anticipated large crowds, police have barricaded every lane to prevent concentration at specific locations. Approximately one kilometer of road leading to the stadium is entirely closed, and all shops within the controlled area have been shut down. Local broadcasters interviewed Vijay's fans, who expressed immense excitement about the event. One supporter highlighted that Vijay would be the youngest Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and is expected to prioritize youth and farmers' welfare. He further stated his hope that Vijay would be a 'common leader' for all, rather than a political one.
