Trump: Iran Ceasefire Still in Effect, Warns of 'Pain' if Agreement Not Signed Quickly
Ceasefire Status and Warning to Iran
US President Donald Trump confirmed that the ceasefire with Iran is still in effect, despite recent military engagements. He sternly warned Tehran that if an agreement is not signed promptly, they will experience "a lot of pain." Trump asserted that Iran desires to sign the agreement "a lot more than I do." He also stated that Iran had "trifled" with the United States, to which the U.S. responded decisively.
Military Incidents in Strait of Hormuz
President Trump detailed that three world-class destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz today. During this passage, Iran reportedly launched missiles and drones, all of which were successfully shot down. Trump characterized these actions as a "trifle" and suggested that no other country would have dared to launch missiles and drones in such circumstances. He also mentioned that an Iranian tanker's rudder was shot out, causing it to spin in circles. He concluded by saying that such actions should not have occurred.
