JR Yokosuka and Tokaido Lines Suspended Due to Derailment Accident
JR Yokosuka and Tokaido Lines were suspended in some sections today following a car derailment accident at a crossing in Yokohama City early this morning.
JR Yokosuka Line Service Suspension
Early this morning, just before 5 AM, a vehicle derailed at a railroad crossing in Yokohama City. This incident caused the suspension of both up and down services on the JR Yokosuka Line between Tokyo Station and Zushi Station. The service suspension was subsequently expanded to cover the entire line.
Impact on JR Tokaido Line
The repercussions of the Yokohama City crossing accident also affected the JR Tokaido Line. As a result, both up and down services on the Tokaido Line were suspended between Tokyo Station and Atami Station. There is no further information available regarding the resumption of services.
