Trump Declares 'Iran War Is Over'
US President Donald Trump announced that the war between the United States and Iran is "over" during an interview with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo on April 14 (local time). Bartiromo revealed on her X (formerly Twitter) account that Trump, when asked if the war was over after he spoke of it in the past tense, responded, "It's already over." The full interview is scheduled to air on the Fox Business Channel from 6 AM to 9 AM Eastern Time on April 15.
Claim to Have Prevented Nuclear Weapons
During the interview, President Trump asserted that if he had not intervened in the conflict with Iran, the country would possess nuclear weapons by now. He stated, "If I didn't do that, you would have seen Iran having nuclear weapons by now." He further added that if Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons, everyone would have to address them as 'sir,' and "you wouldn't want that." Conducted outside the White House, the interview reportedly covered topics such as the economy, the Iran war, and NATO.
