India-Bangladesh Relations: A 'Reset' in Discussion

Khalilur Rahman, Bangladesh's Foreign Minister, recently visited New Delhi to discuss the future of bilateral ties with Indian counterparts. He revealed an exchange of letters and a phone call between Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, indicating a shared willingness from both nations to "reset" the relationship. Rahman noted a positive spirit in India and emphasized that both sides are keen to take initiatives for advancing their ties.

Emphasizing 'Trust and Confidence' for Future Relations

Rahman stressed that successful relations must be built on "trust and confidence." He acknowledged an 18-month downturn in the relationship, highlighting the crucial need to rebuild trust.
