IDF Threatens to Target Ambulances in Lebanon Amid Hezbollah Conflict
IDF Warns Against Military Use of Ambulances
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have threatened to target ambulances in Lebanon, alleging that Hezbollah is making military use of these vehicles for terror activities. The IDF stated that if the military use of medical facilities is not immediately halted, Israel will act in accordance with international law against any military activity carried out by Hezbollah using such facilities. This escalation further complicates regional negotiations.
Lebanon Bombings and International Concerns
This development follows Israel's largest wave of bombings on Lebanon, where over 300 Lebanese people, including women and children, were killed and more than 1,100 people sustained serious injuries. These bombings were reportedly carried out without prior warnings in densely populated neighborhoods of Beirut. The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged Israel to reconsider the warnings, noting that the targeted area includes at least two hospitals. Meanwhile, Iran has stated it will not engage in negotiations unless attacks on Hezbollah and other allied groups are stopped, emphasizing that Hezbollah is a key pillar of its regional influence strategy.
