Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is set to star in the epic film 'Ramayana,' which aims to share sacred Hindu stories with audiences worldwide. The film will be released in two parts, and Kapoor expressed his enthusiasm for the project, despite not always enjoying the promotional aspects of his job. The production team, including director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, unveiled the first 3D film trailer at an IMAX theatre in Burbank, California, on Monday.
Release Schedule and Production Status
The first part of 'Ramayana' is scheduled to hit theaters during the Indian Diwali holiday in November. Production for the second film is currently underway, with a targeted release in October 2027. Namit Malhotra, head of Prime Focus studio and visual effects studio DNEG, is producing the ambitious project, promising a grand cinematic experience.
