According to JTB, during this year's Golden Week (April 25th - May 7th), the number of people taking domestic trips of one night or more is expected to increase by 1.7% compared to last year, reaching 23.9 million. Overseas travelers are also projected to increase by 8.5%, reaching 570,000 people. While East Asian destinations like South Korea and Taiwan account for over 60% of overseas travel, trips to Southeast Asia, the United States, and Europe are also significantly growing.
