Iran Targets UAE, Bahrain, and Israel with Missile and Drone Strikes

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard has launched a fresh series of missile and drone strikes targeting facilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Israel. These targets reportedly included US steel and aluminum industries, as well as an Israeli arms factory. Iran stated that these salvos were a direct retaliatory response to recent attacks on its own steel plants and industrial sites by US and Israeli forces.

US Strike on Iranian Bridge Results in Multiple Casualties

In Western Iran, at least 8 people have been killed and nearly 100 wounded after a US strike hit the B1 Bridge, a major infrastructure project linking Karaj and Tehran. US President Donald Trump publicly claimed credit for the strike, posting footage of the bridge's collapse and warning Iran of further consequences unless it agrees to a deal.

International Calls for Immediate Reopening of Strait of Hormuz

A UK-led meeting involving around 40 nations concluded with a strong demand for the immediate and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. However, no tangible breakthrough was achieved. British Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper stated that Iran's actions in the Strait of Hormuz risk holding the global economy hostage and must not be allowed to continue. Separately, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) called on the United Nations Security Council to authorize the use of force to secure the vital shipping route, but these efforts faced opposition from Russia, China, and France.
