Trump Reaffirms Iran War End and US Troop Withdrawal Within 2-3 Weeks

US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed his stance to end the Iran war and withdraw American troops within 2-3 weeks. Speaking after an executive order signing ceremony at the White House on October 31 (local time), he stated, "We will be leaving very soon, in two weeks, maybe three weeks, we'll be finishing up and leaving." He added that the withdrawal would occur regardless of an agreement, once it's determined that Iran cannot produce nuclear weapons for a long time.

President Trump asserted that the war led to a regime change in Iran and neutralized its military capabilities, making recovery difficult for at least 15-20 years. He claimed that preventing nuclear weapons was the sole objective, and this goal has already been achieved. These remarks came amidst growing economic pressures in the US, including gasoline prices exceeding $4 per gallon.

Strait of Hormuz Responsibility Shifted to Allied Nations

Trump emphasized that the United States has no involvement with the Strait of Hormuz issue and that nations utilizing the strait should resolve it themselves. He stated that oil-importing countries like China should be responsible for the strait's security. He added that threats such as mines or small missile attacks should be handled by user nations like France or Australia. This indicates an intention to transfer the responsibility for securing the Strait of Hormuz to oil-importing and allied nations.

President Trump also left room for negotiations with Iran, stating, "A deal could happen, but even if it doesn't, we've already achieved our goals." However, some Gulf allies, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have reportedly expressed concerns about an early withdrawal, urging the US to continue strikes against Iran to completely eliminate regional missile and drone threats.
