Iran's IRGC Claims Strike on US Base in UAE
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed a direct strike on a US base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This assault is part of the 83rd wave of Operation True Promise 4. The IRGC stated that the Al Dhafra Airbase was among the primary targets in their operations, which are aimed at what they call American and Zionist targets. The strike, carried out under the code name 'Ya Aba Abdillah Al Hussein', was executed on Thursday evening using long-range and medium-range missile systems in coordination with drones.
UAE Confirms Attack and Reports Casualties
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed the attack, with its Ministry of Defense reporting that its air defense systems intercepted 15 ballistic missiles and 11 drones launched from Iran. This interception occurred as part of an ongoing wave of attacks. According to officials, since the escalation began, UAE air defenses have engaged 372 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,826 UAVs. The attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 2 members of the Armed Forces and a Moroccan civilian contractor, with 169 people injured ranging from minor to severe. The injured included nationals from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India. The UAE Ministry of Defence affirmed that it remains fully prepared to deal with any threats, vowing to protect the country's sovereignty, security, stability, and strategic interests.
