Accelerated Progress in AI for Science and Dream Decoding Technology
Achievements and Expansion in AI for Science
XtalPi (晶泰控股, 2228.HK) reported a 2025 annual revenue of 803 million RMB, a 201.2% year-on-year increase, making it the first Hong Kong-listed company in the AI for Science sector to achieve profitability. XtalPi is also extending its reach into high-growth sectors such as new materials, agriculture, and consumer health.
Advancements in AI-Powered Dream Decoding Technology
According to Andy Kwok, a founding member of the Data and AI Literacy Association (DALA), the combination of AI and brain imaging technology is making dream decoding a reality. In 2013, a team led by Dr. HORIKAWA Tomoyasu at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology demonstrated the possibility of decoding dream content from neural signals. In January 2025, a research team led by Professor Yanwei Fu at Shanghai Fudan University unveiled a novel framework for transforming dreams into coherent video narratives based on fMRI data. This technology utilizes Large Language Models (LLM) to interpret decoded images and integrate them into textual descriptions, holding the potential to revolutionize mental health and creative industries.
