AI Robot Emerges as 'Hotspot' at Exam Counseling Event
This year's exam preparation counseling program in Da Nang, Vietnam, transformed from a mere admission information session into an engaging technology experience zone. Notably, a chess match against an artificial intelligence (AI) robot was introduced for the first time, attracting significant student interest. On the morning of March 22, the event held on the grounds of Phan Chau Trinh High School saw a technology experience zone become a primary attraction for students, alongside various university and training institution booths.
Intense Intellectual Battle Between Human and AI Unfolds
The AI robot chess match area quickly became a 'hotspot' at the event. The familiar chessboard transformed into an intense intellectual battleground between humans and machines, with numerous students gathering to watch and cheer, creating a vibrant atmosphere. This AI robot was programmed to swiftly analyze chessboard situations, formulate strategies, and respond flexibly. Many students expressed surprise at the robot's unexpected moves, indicating the deep calculations behind them.
Nguyen Van Phuc Tin, an 11th-grade student from Tran Phu High School, shared his memorable experience playing against the AI for the first time. "The robot made unexpected moves, which required me to think more carefully," Tin said. "I played three games, losing two and drawing one. Still, it was very interesting to play chess against a real AI system for the first time." Many other students also expressed excitement at the opportunity to compete directly with technology, viewing it as a chance to engage with the rapidly developing field of AI, which is expected to significantly impact many future professions.
